Mission Statement
The Ignite Academy is a leadership and ministry development program, through discipleship and education, practical hands-on local church and community ministry involvement and training, and global mission outreach.
MISSION
The mission of the Ignite Academy is to serve the Foursquare family and the Body of Christ at large, at every level as a catalyst for future church leaders who are in pursuit of their life-mission through: discipleship and ministry preparation; practical and foundational biblical learning; and hands-on opportunities to serve both local church and global missions.
- All of us are called to be ministers of the gospel either as vocational/pulpit ministers or as support leaders and volunteers in the local church and community.
- Our personal worlds are integrated with global contact and influences requiring us to be aware, prepared and effective in expanding the kingdom of God.
PURPOSE
To ignite the next generation of church leaders towards their life-mission: strengthened in personal character and discipline; educated in biblical truth, understanding, and personal application; and focused on the expansion of the kingdom of God.
VISION
To disciple future Foursquare and Body of Christ leaders in a collegiate atmosphere and deploy them towards their Life-Mission: equipped with a passion for Christ, a knowledge of His Word, a familiarity with His voice, and an uncompromising desire to walk in His Spirit.
- Learning and living as a unified team on a college campus
- Relationships will be built with local churches and community ministries for training, serving and outreach involvement, so when the individual student returns to their home church following their Ignite Academy experience they will be equipped and motivated to serve.
