New Day Fresh Focus

The spring semester is officially over.  All Ignite Academy mission teams fulfilled their journey and time of service in three corners of the world (China, Kenya and El Salvador/Honduras).  Last week was the celebration and launch of Ignite students into their future and pursuit of their Life-Mission.  So now what?  What’s next?  It’s Monday morning, a new day with a fresh focus.  While extremely proud of the Ignite students who have fulfilled their commitment and are moving on, I have to admit I am thrilled by the new class making preparation to join us this next fall!  We are just about full to capacity yet again.  The hand of the Lord is truly evident in His favor and blessing upon the Ignite Academy.    Please join us in praying for this new class coming in that this next semester will be a life launching experience for an incredible group of students.

This morning in 1Kings 15:11, after reading several verses where the kings of Judah and Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, we read that king “Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord as did his father David”.   There are so many challenges for leaders today.  There are incredible pressures to do the popular thing, to be pleasing to people, to not upset the apple cart, to stay the course of public demand.  However, the focus should always be to serve the people but never compromise on what is “right” in the serving.  Philippians 4:8 tells us to focus on whatever is true, noble, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy…the right things!  As we look to the future, while enjoying the current days of summer, we are reminded that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, if we are doing the right things in the eyes of the Lord, in step with Him on this new day with a fresh focus.   Fully Ignited and staying the course with you, Mike
